Our History:
In the spring of 1969, George S. Lukach, now deceased, backed the family car out of the garage to make room for Pioneer Seed Days. Neighbors then stopped by, picked up their seed and the 1965 sales season was essentially over in one weekend.
George M. Lukach took over the business from George S. in 1971. Now George A. and Dan Lukach run the family business from two locations. The East facility is located 2.5 miles east of the family farm on Richards Road north of Streator, Illinois while the West facility is on the north edge of Tonica, Illinois.
What started out as a one week “Pioneer Days”, has turned into a year-round agricultural seed and service supplier.
The team at Lukach Seed Agency prides themselves on being customer focused while providing season-long field scouting and management suggestions to help with bottom-line decisions. We start every day with the thoughts of “how can we help our customers succeed?” With preemptive scouting and digital tools through Pioneer and Granular, we are able to keep an eye on weather, fertility, growth stages and local diseases/pests.
We manage extensive plot work throughout our sales area to rigorously test new hybrids and varieties. The Lukach team and families are proud to serve and partner with you through the season and your successes.
